Are You a Lover of History?

Attend the Tennessee River Rendezvous in Saltillo, TN

April 11-12, 2025

This event allows the public to experience historically accurate camps. You can meet living historians, engage in hands-on activities, and hear from knowledgeable speakers. Additionally, there will be exciting reenactments from different historical periods, including the French Indian War, Civil War, and WW2. The year 2025 will mark the fifth celebration of this incredible event!

Living historians from 27 different states are joining us for this occasion. We welcome everyone, including local families and home school groups, on both Friday and Saturday. The best part? Admission and parking for this event are FREE! Our average turnout is approximately 6,000 spectators over the two-day gathering.

A Night of Dancing

On Saturday evening, we will host a “Dance Through Time.” Here, attendees can experience and participate in music and dancing from the Colonial period, the Civil War era, and the WW2 years. This dance is a ticketed event open to the public.

In addition to the historical activities, we will feature multiple period sutlers, craft vendors, a root beer saloon, and various food trucks. With something for everyone, the Tennessee River Rendezvous is an event you won't want to miss!

Flooding Concerns in February 2025

February is when we closely monitor the river's water levels. The spring rains and mountain snowmelt can lead to increased river flow. Fortunately, several of our locations are safely elevated above the flood zone. This means no concerns for our guests!

However, some of our lower cove spots experienced a bit of water last month due to torrential rains and melting snow. They are nice and dry now, but we learned a lesson: we need to chain down our picnic tables to prevent them from floating away into the cove.
