Hello Hidden Oasis subscribers! Welcome to our monthly newsletter. As promised in my initial communications, we plan to publish this newsletter just once per month to keep you all in the loop on the goings-on in White Oak Landing.

Consider attending the Tennessee River Rendezvous in Saltillo, TN
April 11-12, 2025

This event allows the public to experience historically accurate camps, meet living historians, engage in hands-on activities, hear from historical speakers, and enjoy reenactments (French Indian / Civil War / WW2), along with much more! 2025 will mark year five for this event! We currently have living historians from 27 different states joining us for this occasion. We welcome the public, as well as local and home school groups, on Friday and Saturday. Admission and parking for this event are FREE! Our average spectator turnout reaches 6,000 during the two-day gathering. On Saturday evening, we will host a “Dance Through Time” on site, where attendees can experience and participate in music and dancing from the Colonial, Civil War, and WW2 periods. This dance is a ticketed event for the public. In addition to the historical activities, we will feature multiple period sutlers, craft vendors, a root beer saloon, and various food trucks.
Flood February 2025
This is the time of year when we monitor the river's water levels. The spring rains and mountain snowmelt lead to increased river water. Fortunately, several of our locations are situated safely above the flood zone, ensuring no concerns for our guests.
Our lower cove spots did get a little "wet" last month from some torrential rains and snow melt. All nice and dry now though, although lesson learned we need to chain down our picnic tables so they don't take a trip into the cove.
Donuts Anyone?
Approximately 30 minutes southeast of Clifton is the town of Waynesboro, TN. If you like donuts and a good deli, a trip to Waynesboro to visit Golden Goodies Donuts & Deli may be in order. They are located at 633 S Main St, Waynesboro, TN 38485.
