August Highlights & Looking Ahead to September
August has been full of energy here at Hidden Oasis! From summer travelers enjoying the Tennessee River to the launch of our new online booking system, we’ve welcomed many new faces to our campground. Thank you to everyone who has joined us this season — it’s been a summer to remember.
Now, as August winds down, we’re excited for September. Cooler weather, small-town festivals, and cozy camping nights make it one of the best times of year to be in Clifton. 🍂
✨ Community Evening at Hidden Oasis - August 22nd
On Friday, August 22nd, we hosted a Community Evening at Hidden Oasis. While small, it was a wonderful way to connect with both neighbors and guests in a relaxed setting. For us, it was a reminder that camping isn’t just about the sites or the scenery — it’s about the sense of community that grows when people come together. We’re excited to host more of these evenings in the years to come.

September brings the perfect camping weather — crisp mornings, mild afternoons, and evenings made for gathering around the fire.
🚣♀️ Kayaking at Hidden Oasis
One of the best ways to enjoy Hidden Oasis is from the water. With direct access to the Tennessee River and White Oak Creek, it’s easy to launch right from the campground and explore. September is an ideal month to paddle — cooler mornings, calm water, and plenty of wildlife to spot along the shoreline.
And sometimes, nature gives you a surprise! On a recent paddle during our visit, a fish actually jumped right into Josee's kayak — proof that the river is full of life and always ready to keep things interesting.
Whether you’re looking for a short paddle around the cove or a day-long adventure to nearby Double Island, you’ll find plenty of beauty (and maybe even a few unexpected encounters) from your kayak.
Monthly & Seasonal Stays — Limited Availability
We’re thrilled to share that our long-term sites are now filled starting in September — a big milestone for our campground!
That said, we still have monthly and seasonal availability through the end of January 2026. This is a great option if you’re looking for:
A quiet place to settle in for the fall or arly winter
Full hookups with WiFi so you can work or relax comfortably
Easy access to Clifton’s festivals, music, and small-town charm
Please note: waterfront site availability beyond January is subject to river levels and seasonal flooding conditions.
If you’re considering a stay this fall, now is the perfect time to reserve before these shorter-term spots are gone.

A full day of live music, food, and fun along Main Street. Bands include Steel 6, Cade Doyal, and Four Wheel Drive.
